District of Columbia Housing Authority Lead-based Paint Services

Since May 2018, Arc Environmental has been retained by the District of Columbia Housing Authority (DCHA) to provide comprehensive lead-based paint inspection and risk assessment services. These services encompass lead hazard inspections, risk assessments, lead-based paint testing, paint chip sampling, soil sampling, and the production of detailed risk analyses and assessment reports. All inspections and assessments are conducted in strict compliance with current DC Department of Energy and the Environment (DOEE) regulations and Chapters 5 and 7 of the HUD Guidelines.

Through meticulous property evaluations, Arc Environmental identifies all lead-related hazards and provides tailored recommendations for interim controls, abatement measures, and long-term management plans. To ensure seamless project execution, Arc Environmental frequently collaborates with DCHA personnel and other stakeholders, including property managers, through routine meetings and conference calls. These consultations support data analysis, scope of work development, and project clarification.

Following the implementation of abatement and management plans, Arc Environmental conducts clearance inspections to certify that residences are safe for re-occupancy. In addition to lead-based paint services, DCHA regularly engages Arc Environmental for a variety of other consulting services, including asbestos surveys, indoor air quality testing, mold and water intrusion investigations, and HazMat surveys.
